Safety Sector

Safety sectors are defined as areas that can be deactivated independently from the main system area. The entire power to the Flyway can be turned off. Upon STO or flyway error, the safety sector will deactivate the flyways and land any movers on the flyways.
Safety sectors differ from power sectors as they cannot be removed or disconnected from the system. This means any flyway or flyway group can be a safety sector, including the master flyway.

Safety Sector State Diagram

Notes:

When the PMC state transitions Inactive to Operation (from a Activation command), the Safety Sector state transitions directly from Inactive_Fenced to Operation as indicated in the diagram. If the PMC is already in Operation state when the Activation command is called, then the Activation command has no effect.

Xbots will need to be scanned if the system is in Absolute ID mode and at least one xbot in the sector has an unknown ID. If system is in real-time ID mode, the Xbots will never need to be scanned.

Commands

Note the commands for Safety Sectors have the same effect as the commands for Power Sectors.
