Group

Multiple XBots may work collaboratively on a given task. In these situations, it is often helpful to have the ability to command the XBots together.

The group operation command provides the following functionality:

  • Create XBot Group: can be used to add multiple XBots together into one group. Note, an XBot can be in multiple groups, as long as it is not “Bonded” to multiple groups (more details below).

  • Delete XBot Group: remove the XBots from the group, the XBots are unbonded.

  • XBot Group Buffer Control: the motion buffers for XBots in the specified group will be blocked or released simultaneously.

  • XBot Group Bond Control: the bonded group can be moved as one, by sending a motion command to any individual XBot in the connected group.

  • Get XBot Group Status: receive the status of the group, including the number of XBots in the group, and XBot IDs of the XBots in the group.

The Group Linear Motion translates a group of XBots together. It creates, bonds, moves the group according to the “Leader XBot” and then deletes the group.
