Site Preparation

Prior to installing the Planar Motor System at the site, the following components are required:

• Mounting plate with mounting holes and cutouts for installation of the power cables, PMNet cables and water cooling. See Mounting Plate Guide for detailed requirements of Flyway mounting plates.

  • Users should consider the grounding requirements of each Flyway. Users can utilize the mounting plate as a ground plane with each Flyway grounded to the mounting plate through the four threaded mounting holes on the Flyway. 

  • Mounting solutions catered to the user’s application can be provided by Planar Motor. Please inquire with the manufacturer for further information.

• Electrical connections to power the system’s power supply and controller.

  • North America: 120V/60Hz, NEMA 5-15 Connector.

  • Europe: 230V/50Hz, Type F Connector.

  • Other power connectors may be accommodated by the Planar Motor System. Please inquire with the manufacturer for further information.
