Flyway Numbering

Standard Flyway (S3-Ax):

Flyways with all the standard capabilities, except that they don’t have special features such as wide gap traversing, extended working temperature, and rotation everywhere.

Gap Traversing Flyway (S3-Gx):

Flyways with the capability to cross gaps of up to 30mm (depending on mover type) between Flyways are available. The gap traversing capability allows for machine designers to place auxiliary equipment between Flyways, such as doors for isolators, vacuum chambers, or laser enclosures. The gap traversing Flyways are compatible with all other Flyways, and have similar performance capabilities as the Standard S3-Ax Flyways. Extended Temperature Flyway (S3-Tx):

Flyways with extended operating temperatures of –40°C to 60°C are available. The extended operating temperature allows for a wider range of operating environments without the necessity to heat or cool the Flyways. The extended temperature Flyways are compatible with all other Flyways, and have similar performance capabilities as the Standard S3-Ax Flyways.
