5. United States FCC Compliance (Part 15)
The Planar Motor System components, including the Flyways and Planar Motor Controllers (PMC), are classified as FCC Part 15 Class A Digital Devices intended strictly for use in industrial and commercial manufacturing environments.
5.1 General Class A Compliance Statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at their own expense.

5.2.1 Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation Exposure Notice
To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, 3-Series equipment must be installed and operated to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm (roughly 8 inches) from all persons during normal operation. The internal wireless transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
Note: 4-Series Flyway Stator Modules do not utilize internal radio frequency wireless communication elements and are governed solely by the standard Class A unintentional emissions regulations listed above.
